Movelt App and smartwatch

Case study

problem

how might we help people who need a way to track their resting heartbeats and to help them out with their workout during the day, wherever they are at the moment? How could we make it more accessible in their dailly life?

solution

the solution is to design an app that works seamlessly with a smartwatch, to track the progress in an easy way. with the movelt smartwatch it is easy for the user to get an quick overview during the day and it is always with you, no matter where your are.

Persona of the man Jarno

define

who is our user? To get to know more about the users we set up personas

Mindmap of the Movelt app

ideate

what do the user need? we set up a mindmap to get an idea of what the app should include

Userflows

ideate

how would our users go thru the app? to get an idea of that we used userflows

low-fi wireframes

In the ideationfase we made lots of low-fi wireframes, and then we made a dot-voting to came up with the final solution.

Lots of wireframes for Ideation

Final solutions

After dot-voting we got the frames we wanted to go on with, and started to set up mid-fi and then high-fi frames in figma

Hi-fi wireframes

Designsystem

We set up a minidesignsystem that works for both webbpage and smartwatch.

reflection

The design effectively adresses the common challenges users face by implementing a multi-device strategy.

This approach allows for seamless navigation between the phone and smartwatch, ensuring a smooth user experience across both platforms.

The design of the smartwatch is intentionally simplified to focus on singular tasks, which enhances usability and makes interactions more intuitive.

By narrowing the focus, users can quickly access the information or functionality they need without unnecessary distractions.

Additionally, we prioritize maintaining consistent design elements across both devices.

This enhances familiarity but also strengthens user confidence, making transitions between devices smoother.
